Anyone from the age of 18, with any skin type can be treated provided none of the contra-indications listed below are met:

  • Metal or electronic implants, cardiac pacemaker.
  • Regions near large veins, nerves
  • Application on the spinal column. head, neck, myocardium, gonads, kidney, liver, cartilage surface
  • Children
  • Malignant or benign tumors
  • No therapy will be applied to damaged skin or any area under local anesthesia or with impaired sensitivity
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Articular hypertension
  • Serious renal or hepatic insufficiency
  • Venous surgery on legs/ sclerotherapy.

How many sessions of X-wave I need?

Patients may undergo between 8 to 10 treatment sessions per area scheduled twice a week.

Each treatment of a specific body part usually takes between 10-15 minutes.

Results may vary from patient to patient. The therapy itself is comfortable and painless. You may resume your normal daily activities immediately.

What to expect during and after treatments

Treatment is often described as a soft prickly vibration with no pain or discomfort. Slight vibration described as prickling on the treated area, described as a massage, the treatment is painless. We make use of hypo-allergenic ultrasound gel that may feel cold.

No down time is required as this is a non- invasive treatment.

pre-care and after-care

  • Drink 1-2L of water post treatment to flush out toxins.
  • If you experience muscle pain or sensitivity to the treated area consult with your therapist.
  • If the skin feels irritated consult your therapist.
  • You might experience a slight headache.
  • Urine colour might be bright yellow for a few days, this due to toxin breakdown in the body.
  • You might experience slight muscle stiffness
